Wildlife Rehabilitator - 2020 - Category 2a (Fully Permitted Wildlife Rehabilitator) with VDGIF
As a Wildlife Rehabilitator I help to provide direct care to the animals that are in my care in my home: Wilderling Nursery.
All manner of care:
Accepting orphan animals into my Wilderling Nursery, weighing them and recording key information,
determining the care they need based on the condition they are in as well as their age when found.
Provide species appropriate foods and water to the animals and clean their cages/pens.
Look for any signs of trauma and ensure healthy environment to grow and heal to be ready for their release back out to the wild.
Another aspect is to help educate the public about Wildlife Conservation
and how we all can help to preserve our creatures
and the environment while living in harmony among each other.
The following animals I have cared for as a licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator:
Squirrels, Raccoons, Opossums,, Bunnies, Skunks, Groundhogs, Foxes, Rabbits, Turtles, Owls, Hawks (Red Tail, Coopers),
